School Field Trip

Denny got up early this morning. He was going with our son Jason to chaparone our granddaughter, Hannah's school field trip. She lives with her mother 80 miles from here so they had to leave early to be at the school on time.
Hannah is in the 3rd grade and her class visited Rock Springs Conservation Area and Nature Center. The guys had four girls under their watch that included Hannah.  She was so excited to have her Daddy and Grandpa there.
The rangers gave talks on conservation and tips on camping.

Hannah is behind the girl with her arm over her face in pink.
They had a lot of fun fitting into this tent.
The also showed the kids some animals and other interesting information about the wildlife in the area as well as taking them on a nature walk through the pine forest.

I slept in, as ususal, but the quiet was wonderful. It has been raining most of the morning. I played on the computer and baked a strawberry rhubarb pie. It is Denny's favorite and Jason loves it too. Our other 2 boys aren't too fond of it but that's ok.
The party that was planned by friends tonight was cancelled because her brother is in the ICU at a local hospital.  We’ll pray for you all.
No party means a quiet evening at home and that is OK by me.  Denny and Jason loved the pie.
Let’s see what new adventures come tomorrow.
