Denny is enjoying his retirement. We are sure looking forward to spending more time together.
We are having some work done to the truck tailgate next week. Denny backed into the king pin on the camper last June. He has been putting off getting it fixed. First he was angry with himself and we had already had to have our last truck bed fixed because he got distracted while hitching the camper to the truck and it wasn't locked to the camper fell onto the bed. Thankfully, there were no problems with the camper but the truck bed had to be replaced. So, to have to say he needed the tailgate fixed for another incident with the camper was hard for him.
I'm glad he finally made the decision to get it done before we hit the road. Now he can put his black mask and Hi-Yo- magnets back where they belong above the silverado name on the tailgate. If you haven't guessed, Denny loves the Lone Ranger. We both love westerns and this just makes us feel good to see it there.
My work has been interesting lately. We have an election with a candidate and a write-in. The write-in candidate has residency questions. This could cause a court battle if the write-in wins. One of our vendors is having problems getting software changed before the election and it could cause problems that will just take more time to record voting history for the voters after the election. Thankfully, this will be a small election but it's still a headache. We had a class last night to teach our poll workers how to use the unit but when the company reps started teaching the class we found they had not done their job. I told my staff that I had decided to retire this year because I didn't want to die on the job but this election could do it.
Enough of work. The weather has been warm this week. Headed for possible snow this weekend though. Winter is still here but hopefully is winding down.
Until next time.
