Hannah’s Dance Recital

I got home in time to rest a couple of days and restock our pantry before it was time to go to Bethany, IL for our granddaughter’s dance recital. 

We missed her recital last winter because we were in Texas.  She was a flower in the Nutcracker Ballet.  This recital she gets to do more modern dancing and her dad will  be participating.

It is a bit of a drive so we left early.  We arrived about 4:30 to unload a curio cabinet for Hannah’s room.  She is named for my mother Gail Cassatt.  Mom showcased her bell collection and other things in two curio cabinets.  Denny and I got the two cabinets for our grandkids to display some of mom’s bells and their other treasures.  One of mom’s bells was a ballerina.  Mom had danced and I wrapped it for Hannah.  She loved it.  Now she has something special to remember her Great-Grandma Gail with.

We left with Hannah to get to the high school on time for another rehearsal with the dad's. Here are a few pictures of that rehearsal.  Jason and Hannah are third from left.

Then it was Daddy’s turn to help her shine.  Each father’s group wore ties to match their daughter’s outfit.

Daddy and Mom remembered flowers for her this time.  He got her a dozen yellow roses tied with a blue ribbon.  Hannah was thrilled.  Mom gave her three red roses so we hope it made up for the oversight from last winter.

It was a lovely night and we are sure proud of her.
