Graceland

The kids are so excited about going to Graceland.  They learned a bit about Elvis yesterday at Sun Records and are curious about who he was.
We got up and had some breakfast before heading over to the Graceland complex around 11:00 am.  Now, I know that is late to some but sleeping in is a hobby of mine.
I believe they keep adding things to the Graceland exhibits.  Maybe someday there will be an amusement park with roller coaster rides in a pink Cadillac and water slides into pools lined with gold records.
Parking is $10 at the complex.  We had coupons for all of us and Denny qualified for the senior pass but it still cost more than $75 for the four of us to go through the house and museums.  It is a once in a lifetime event and we really enjoyed it.
Hannah fell in love with the house.  She couldn’t get over how big it was and how “pretty”.  Here are a few of her favorite rooms.

Noah was interested in his awards.

We saw his cars, his stables, his grave, his clothes and enjoyed it all.  After we left the complex we headed home for quesadillas for dinner and Elvis movies.  We all watched “GI Blues” and then Hannah and I went to the bedroom for “Blue Hawaii”.  Her great-grandma and namesake would have loved doing that with her.  Mom was a huge Elvis fan.
The heat wore us all out and tomorrow we are leaving Memphis.  Our next adventure will be at the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas.  Should be fun.
