Wedding rehersals and vows

The wedding party and close family met the officiant at the beach for a brief rehersal.  It was chilly and we were all hoping that Tuesday would be warmer and sunny.  No matter how chilly it was on the beach the rehersal went off without a hitch and we all have a better idea what will happen tomorrow.

Everyone was all smiles and we knew the wedding would be beautiful.  We took advantage of the opportunity to take another family picture and one of Dad with the grandkids.

We moved on to the restaurant where Stacy's grandparents and Uncles met us for lunch.  I wish there were more Mexican Restaurants that served the dish I had.  I love shrimp and they had Fajita Shrimp Nachos on the menu.  Wow!!  I loved them.  There was a lot of the fajita veggie mix with shrimp and few tortilla chips.  My kind of nachos.

We went back to the beach house after lunch to visit.  Jason and Hannah moved to the hotel to stay in Jake and Andie's suite.  We went on home.

We met at the beach at 2 pm on Tuesday.  Stacy wanted us all dressed for pictures before the wedding at 5 pm.  Before we could get any pictures taken we used our truck to pick up the beach wheel chair for Stacy's grandfather.  It's a pretty neat chair made from pvc pipe with very large wheels to go through the sand but they don't maneuver well on regular pavement.

We went to a park for the first set of pictures to be able to have some flowers and trees in some of the group pictures.

Then we moved on to another beach sight for more pictures.

The Stanford's; Stacy's little girl Peyton, Jason, Stacy, James, Denny, Jason's daughter Hannah, Char and James son Noah.  John and Shyla weren't able to attend.

The wedding ceremony itself took place on time.  It was breezy but warm and the kids seem very happy.  Welcome to the family Stacy and Peyton.  The happy couple begins the journey of their new life together.

The kids did the wedding all on their own and saved pennies wherever they could.  They even made their own wedding cake.  Well Stephanie decorated it but wow it is a show stopper.

The beach house was decorated for the reception with a fruit, veggie and chic-fil-a tray.  It was all good and a nice ending to a beautiful day.  We took Hannah and Noah home with us to spend the night.

Tomorrow is another big day.  We're taking the grandkids, Dad and Jason over the Southport Ferry to Wilmington to see the USS North Carolina.  Another great adventure we're able to share with family.
